So just a little update. Gears are in and are great. $1410 out the door with fluids. Didn’t have the ECGS bushing done after all, my mechanic buddy and I will tackle it on our own.

Gear Works in Bend. Guy did a great job. Oil was just changed and it was pure as can be. Very happy with the job. There is more howl than stock but that can be attributed to the gears more than install.

Nice man! Only a 6 hour drive to Bend from my house. I'll call him tomorrow and get a quote. That's essentially the price of just the parts alone, doesn't even seem like he left any room for labor costs. That's amazing. Did he talk any about warranty, or fixing it if something goes wrong? Sounds like you might be able to just bring it back if somethings not right. Thanks for the intel man

Yeah he told me “I’ve accepted I’m not gonna get rich and it keeps me busy” when I told him that his price was pretty dang low compared to market. My friend owns a shop in town (Fit Garage) and he has used them in the past numerous times with no issues so I didn’t really inquire about issues. He gave me a receipt and said to hold onto it in case anything happens so he can keep track of what he used (Says he switches between Nitro and Yukon depending on availability) so I assume he would handle any issues.
I haven’t had a single one besides my locker pin being reversed when the re-assembled the rear but he noticed it when pulling the truck out and fixed it quickly.

1500 for nitro gears front and rear installed? That's an awesome deal. I'm on 33 and lifted, I may have to do this for that price. I went spend 3 grand like some places want.

It was $1410 with fluids! Super cheap. Not sure if he used a full master kit or used stock bearings but the oil doesn’t lie, some of the cleanest oil after a re-gear my buddy has ever seen. Plus there were moments my “break in process” wasn’t exactly what they recommend haha

How long does the install take overall?

A day or two. Just depends on how many people are working and their workload. Mine was done in a day.

You’re going to need to do the break-in as well. It’s a pain if you live more than a few miles from the install location.

Yeah, my relatives are about 10 miles away from Paden. I can drive there, cool down and just take it easy on the way back home to WA.

Just got the headsup about this thread from tcBOB. Thanks bud!

Perfect timing as I am looking at lift, tires and regear farely soon.
I don't have anything to add at this time, but will update after I get some quotes and regeared.

Does Paden do Yukon 4:88 gears for the 3rd Gen by chance?

Does anyone know if they use the master install kits or mini kits? The whole kit itself is like 1400 bucks. I can't see how they're making any money doing it for that cheap.

Most use mini kits unless requested. It’s usually fine to go with a mini kit with under 40k according to a few people I know that have lots more experience with gears then I have
