I just replaced the drivers side cv axle and abushing from ECGS to replace the needle bearing and also installed new 5100s to my 08 raising the front end 1. 75 inches. When I replaced the cva I did not loosen the bolts on the frame side of the LCA that adjusts alignment. After installing the 5100s and setting the truck down on the ground, I check the camber alignment using a level and tape measure on the outer edges of the 17" rim. The difference came out to .4" in 17" which I believe equates to 1.3 degrees positive camber. (top leans out). Prior to replacing the cva and bushing I had steering wheel shake above 45 mph. The shake as been eliminated and the ride is comfortable.

    My questions are:
    1. Is my math correct on the camber angle?
    2. Is the camber angle too severe? (mainly driven as a hunting rig)
    3. I have an alignment scheduled tomorrow (I don't know the caster or toe angles yet). If all angles are in spec, should I leave it as is?

Thank you for your patience in reading through this, any helpful input would be greatly appreciated!

With a 1.75” they should be able to get in spec or real close to spec.
I wouldn’t worry much until you have it aligned.

Not worth worrying about, when you install a lift you need an alignment.

I’d only worry if you couldn’t get an alignment soon. Until it’s aligned you’ll be wearing the tires faster.

    I think you’ll be fine after tomorrow:thumbsup:
