Hello all. I am dealing with some positive camber and wondering what the best course of action would be. Last owner lifted the truck 2.5'' - 3'', as far as I know the only things changed were the shocks, CV axles, and wheels and tires. The truck has some positive camber if you look closely, and the drivers side tire is worn pretty unevenly. Would getting aftermarket UCA's and an alignment be a good place to start?

    Welcome to TW!

If this were mine I would get it on an alignment rack and have a thrust alignment done and set things to the middle of the specs range and see how it drives. That may all you need.

Have them include the diagnostic angles too and post the alignment sheet here so we can take a peek.

A lift should give negative camber. Lowering gives positive camber- like all the ghetto ricer cars have.

Regardless, take it to a local alignment shop as said.

Ya lifting these trucks results in higher camber, and lower caster, when you raise the caster, it raises the camber higher so upper arms are the only solution.

SPC adjustable arms used to be the answer, but they have such poor quality I cant suggest them anymore.

I'd recommend JBA red upper control arms now.

Max is 2.5. Above that you get positive camber that cannot be removed with an alignment.

Thanks for the reply! Those look great, only problem is I am trying to spend a little less haha. Could you recommend any that are cheaper?

I have SPC UCA’s on a 2.5” lift. With the SPC’s you can have any camber you want as long as you don’t rub the tire on the UCA. It’s completely adjustable. I’m set at -0.4 L and -0.5 R right now. The more negative camber you go the closer the top of the inner tire gets to your UCA

SPC completely redesigned their ball joint in June of 2024. I know they have made some changes in past years but this is much different from my research. They went to a sealed OEM style bj. I put them on my truck last august. I would recommend them. I've also read things on this forum that jba had to replace a bunch of ball joints on their uca. Not sure how many or the truth of any of it just what I've read here on this form. Jba looks like a great brand. However I have spoke to SPC myself and done research with them to see that since releasing the new ball joint they have not warranted any of this new style which could be too soon to tell but it is definitely a change in the right direction. People that have issues and are under warranty SPC is replacing for free. Here is the new ball joint
