Good to know... thanks! Just happy that this illusion (or actual positive camber) is normal.

    More than likely, unless...
Did you lift the rear? Thrust alignment is 'ok'? Front set back 'ok'?

I lifted the rear with Dakars... about 2". All I know is I got an alignment and everything seemed OK. I don't have the numbers with me but I could get later. What would that have to do with the steering wheel being slightly off? Or is this something else you're getting at.

Get it realigned with the steering centered correctly.
    The something else...
If the JBAs changed the front setback from side-to-side or Dakars repositioned the thrust angle, it'll cause it to dog track. Can't really see these thing on a typical front end alignment.

How likely is that? Would the alignment numbers tell? There seems to be readings on the rear although its grayed out. I feel like if things were noticeably out they would have told me. I had everything installed by 2 master tech working mechanics that know their stuff. Truck drives dead straight. Also, I read some thrust angle is OK on these trucks and come with it from the factory? There were readings on the alignment sheet for the rear, I'll just need to look at them.

Tacomaworld is like WebMD. A very common "issue" turns into Cancer with 2 weeks to live. LOL

    Hyperbole much?
I was just giving you different possibilities.
    Hope you figure it out.

Which I appreciate. That wasn't towards you. More that I think a lot of us think the worst when troubleshooting. Truck has been babied since ownership and mildly taken off road about 3 times. No big hits / accidents or anything. At the end of the day, you think its just the tech that didn't center the wheel correctly?

I'll wait until you post alignment numbers.

Out of curiosity... if its not something the alignment techs can fix... what things would need adjusting? UCAs? Dakars?

And the only reason for my comment before was doing a quick search... most say the steering is sloppy and its normal for techs to misalign the wheel.

There is no adjustment on the UCA's unless there are some kind of misalignment washer/spacers for those. Its unlikely it's UCAs, still...would be nice to see SAI and included angles.
SPC makes a thrust alignment plate if your thrust is too far out of whack.

As far as 'normal'...I've said as much in other threads around TW.

Thanks. The few threads I found... most say to take it back and have them center the wheel. It doesn't bother me enough to do that now but I will eventually. Its very slight. I'll look at my alignment numbers too.

    Okay...
Rear thrust looks good; one of the best I've seen.
The higher caster on the passenger side will toe-in more under load, causing a pull to the passenger side. Toe is favoring the passenger side a little too. Add some road crown....I'm guessing your steering is clocked left. Is this what your experiencing?

If anything they should have the caster numbers swapped left to right to compensate for road crown.

    Thanks.
The truck seems to track very straight. Not pulling left at all. The steering wheel is slightly tilted right when driving straight, but otherwise the truck tracks straight (if on a straight road of course with hardly any road crown). I guess my next alignment I’ll tell them to try and make caster and toe more equal side to side?

Your alignment should have you clocked left.
If it's clocked to the right then it is the centering of the steering wheel that is off.

Ok thanks. So sounds like the tech just was lazy or didn’t have good eyes. And the truck drives straight so I guess I’m good? Nothing seems to be going left but I haven’t really tried it.

You want slightly more caster on the passenger side to correct for road crown. I prefer 0 camber and .02 toe, at least that's what I ask for and if it's close I'm happy.

    GTG.
I wouldn't be so quick to blame the tech.
As you mentioned earlier, Tacoma spec has a lot of freeplay in the steering; 30mm.
Guess they could have caught during a test drive, though...

Hey everyone, I'm bumping this thread to see if any of you guys (or anyone else) have anymore on this at all. Though I haven't gotten an alignment in a year (since the posting above with my last alignment numbers), I've still always had visible positive camber but now I also noticed more wear on the outsides of my tires. Truck has been babied and only on a few dirt roads so no off roading or accidents or anything. How's everyone's tire wear? Why would our cambers show that they are close to zero on the alignment sheets but then visibly we can see positive camber and now more uneven tire wear? Frustrating...
