Possbile spoiler for toppers.

I, like most have have been wishing there was a spoiler that could be attached to the rear of the camper, kind of like the 4runners.
One advantage of this is to stop formation of dust and dirt on the back window of the camper.

I saw this spoiler below made by EGR. It is designed to be fitted on the back of a crew cab. Also they make it for just about every truck except the Tacoma. I am seriously thinking about buying it and attaching it to the back of my Leer 100XR.

The spoiler was designed for such makers as Dodge, and Ford. Anyone know which one of these brands have a similar top slope as a Leer 100XR?

I am thinking about getting this one on Amazon (See below). I know I will have to make some modifications but hopefully not too much cutting. What are your thoughts?

I wish they made something for this reason also.

 

You could always make your own spoiler. Use pink sheets of foam (insulation foam), carve them with a hot knife or just some sand paper. Once you have your shape cover it with fiberglass, sand some more, then prime and paint.

Ive made a few spoilers back when I was younger using this method. Just make sure you are using a long sanding block (12-18 inches) so your lines are straight and flat.

 

Thread revival. I’m actually considering doing this. From some cursory measurements and eyeballing it looks like the 2007 Highlander and prior years spoiler might fit my Snugtop. Lotta ifs but it’s the closest one I’ve seen so far. It has the advantage of being a wing so it only needs to fit the corners. If I can find one I can park next to and get side by side profiles it would help.

Haven’t done it. Although similar, it would still take some custom fiberglass fitting and repainting. Plus aerodynamics are tricky enough that it could easily end up creating more drag instead of disconnecting the existing drag eddy.
