Have a hook to buy a 2013 Baja for 24k with 62k miles... Looking at it in a couple of hours. One bad front shock but going through full multipoint inspection. Any thoughts???

If it checks out mechanically and the frame is up to par.
    Keep us posted

Sure it looks cool, but what matters most is the mechanical inspection.

dump the running boards if you actually want to go offroading with it.

We'd need more pictures to make a better call, but right off I notice the tailgate is missing the plastic cap. And I dont see a shark fin antenna either which seems a bit odd.

It does appear to be a real Baja though, at least from this one picture. Seems like a good price baring any huge hidden problems

This is the response I get when entering the VIN on Toyotas Vin Decoder website. Shows Baja Series and I didn't see anything on the roof that showed an antenna was taken off. The tailgate cap and cover are off because the handle is getting replaced. Running boards are coming off if I buy it and welding sliders on. I am having a multipoint independent inspection done by a third party as soon as its out of the dealer shop and before I sign.

According to KBB that year/model/miles with the Baja pkg in fair condition would be $21.4k Private Party so not a bad price from a dealer. One bad front shock means both have to be replaced. 62k on the Bilstein rears maybe both have to be replaced also. The Baja Bilstein suspension pkg is a good setup IMO, but appears to be worn out. There's a towball on the truck so it's been towing, that adds stress to the driveline so fluids should have been changed, ATF quality should be checked by your mechanic. Looks like the OEM mudflaps are still intact so that shows it hasn't been through much roughroading, those OEM's go bye-bye pretty quick over rocks. Best of luck . . . .
