to the op (matt) i contacted matt at the retrofitsource today and he said he needs the names of at least 10 people or at least 10 orders before he will give us the discount. i had called to place my order and told him i was from tw and thats what he told me he said our discount wasn't on yet untill he had the names so i just told him i would relay the message to you and see where it went from there.

We will also offer an upgrade to brand new OEM Philips 85122+ D2S bulbs for $25 more per kit (50% off the normal price difference of $50 over the standard Morimoto bulbs)

Parts choices on the FX-R stage 3 kits include:

Projectors:
FX-R bi-xenon, LHD, clear lens pre-installed

Ballasts:
Morimoto 35w, Greddy 55w (Morimoto 35w highly recommended for best reliability, as the 55w units create more heat, reduce the lifespan of the bulbs)

Bulbs:
Morimoto 4300K, 5000K, 6000K (or brand new Philips for $25 more)

Shrouds:
Ocular, E55-R, E46-R extended, GTi-R, Gatling, Apollo

Wire harness:
H4 bi-xenon

I just spoke with Matt and I was the first to call in my order. I ended up going with the new Phillips bulbs in 5000K with the gatling shroud.

What do u mean by the new bulbs in 5000k u mean the 85122? i didnt think they came in 5000 just 4300?

 

yea not sure which ones he ordered...phillips only come in 4300. i'm installing mine today and they are bright as shit even in the day! spent all night last night destroying my ebay lights trying to swap in the new projector, but it's simply too big...good thing i had my stock headlights laying around. just in the process of aligning my first light right now

 

Does anyone have a side by side picture of a 4300 and 5000?

 

Hmm...when I talked to Matt he said that I could get the Phillips in 5000K. He actually explained the difference between the 4300 and 5000. I will call him back tomorrow and verify this.

 

the 85122 bulbs will start at 4300K and colorshift to 5000k. the 85122+ bulbs will stay at the 4300K their entire life...

im guessing matt gave you the NON-plus bulbs...
