I'm having some electrical issues. Or two different problems.

#1. The AC/Heater fan stopped working. This is twice in one years time. Last time it was a fuse. Tomorrow I'm going to see if its the fuse again.

#2. When I press the unlock button on the key fob, the doors don't unlock. The truck beeps. I can hear the actuators. But no unlocking. After the 4th or 5th try the doors unlock. Then no problems for the next 2 days. Then it happens again. This started last week.

It's an '09. I wouldn't think it would start having problems. I'm out of warranty, so it concerns me a little. Any suggestions or advise would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks and God Bless

    Dave

There is usually a reason why something blows a fuse. One thing to check is the wires and connector for the blower motor resistor, as they have a history of being kind of melted. Then maybe check to see how freely the fan turns by giving it a spin with your hands. Secondly, do you have your doors set up to automatically lock/unlock (aftermarket remote start) when the truck starts? The vehicles I work on can be customized to lock the doors in gear, and when people choose to do this, the door lock actuators start to wear out by about 60k miles. One by one they start to fail. Can you see the door lock "twitch" when you press the lock or unlock button?

Thanks for the tips on the blower motor. I'll check it out to day. I don't have remote start or an alarm. All stock. Only electrical mod I have is the foglight anytime mod.

I checked the fuses. They're fine. No obstructions in the motor. Connections look fine as I can see. So I guess, to the dealership I go. That sucks. The door locks work fine. I can't get it to malfunction again. That's good news for now.
