I had this same issue with my 10. Yea colder it gets worse it gets. I fixed mine by pulling window seal down enough to stuff massive amounts of thick foam padding in all the ( skinny part) of the door frame. Then added gt mat ( sound deadening mat) to all the doors. Haven't heard noise since. I've come to the conclusion that it's the actual door (metal) that's making the noise. You can hear just by pressing your hand against it. But mine is gone now. TG

Try my method. It worked for me. I battled this for over a year. No noise now. And you will forget about it and be on to the next mod.

I believe I waxed the door frame at some point in time and since then have never had this issue.

That is if I was indeed experiencing it to begin with...I noticed a little clickety sound originating somewhere to the rear of the door that used to drive me nuts but haven't heard it in a long time. I'm 100% it wasn't the notorious seatbelt bracket click people experience in the B pillar. Maybe the wax did the trick. Door frame is now slick as hell.

I wonder if the Scotch Magic tape would work... The clear stuff like used for wrapping gifts. Then it would be color matched for everyone? Any thoughts?

I don't know whether it would work of not. However, I don't think that type of tape would be very durable in the long run. I do know they make vinyl electrical tape in lots of different colors these days. You might find something that would be somewhat close to matching.

Well...so far the tape fix as worked. I'll just stick with it for now. The real test will be very cold temps....thought that's a month or so away in my area. Every vehicle has their own little idiosyncrasies. If a little tape fixes one of them.....I'm good with that.

Right on. Go with what works. If noise comes back try stuffing some foam in that dam door.

I put it in the actual door frame, ( skinny top and side part) Roll window down, pull window seal down from the top only, ( seal may have some factory glue, no biggie) then put as much foam ( like seat foam, the thicker the better) in the actual door frame. Look at op 1st post in this thread. Red circled area. Then put seal back. Roll up window. Have a beer. Also I highly recommend some sound deadening material. Enjoy quiet time.

ooo you might be onto something there with standard scotch matte clear tape. Properly cleaning of the painted surface of the door, that shit will stick for a long time, and its even more slippy than electrical tape. HMMMMMM

For me, it's the rubber gasket on the cab squeaking against the metal part of the door where I put the tape. When I hear it, if I run my finger about 5 inches along the rubber (sort of pushing it up a little), the squeak will stop for a couple minutes. I don't understand how stuffing foam inside the top of the door will stop cab-side rubber from squeaking on the metal door?

It's actually the metal that's making the noise. It's deceiving. I tried silicon, different tapes, grease, tailgate seal, you name it. Mine did the same exact thing. If scotch tape works, roll with it.
