Toyota has approved my frame replacement.

Now the wait for parts begins.

I went over and ran some Stabil through the fuel system in anticipation.

Just looked at an '05 for a guy last night and gave him the good/bad news. He needed about $3K of other work as well but he needs to sort the frame out first. I hope it works out for him.

I went over to the dealership today. Truck was parked in the same spot. I started it and ran it for 10 minutes and drove it around the lot. I am going to try to do this with regularity as a preventive measure.

Good. Luckily my frame didn't have failed engine mounts, but it did have a hole so its being replaced.

So we'll both have the updated engine mounts with the new frame?

Still no news at all on my frame, not even a hint of an ETA. I drove it around the lot again today and hit the suspension components with some fluid film.

3 month update. Err, ummm, no update. Dealer has no idea on when the frame will be made, let alone arrive. The battery in the truck was dead so I pulled it and left it on a trickle charger for a week at home. No sense putting a new battery in at this point. I will just bring cables every time I visit.

No offence intended to those minivan owners out there but the rental minivan I'm driving is doing serious damage to my street cred., and my soul.

Oh and don't tell my truck, but I've been checking out the 3rd Gen forum...

The dealership here got a truck load of frames in a couple weeks ago.

And 7 days later, after the dealer had zero information, my frame arrived.
