Looks interesting. I was looking to do something like this before the '09s came out. But that kit makes it a little easier and you can just solder the LEDs anywhere on the board. Try it out!

im thinking about it...im actually thinking about getting an amber kit and retroing it into my fogs w/ the extra set of blanks that i have. i'll have to vacuum form a lense, but it shouldnt be too hard....to many mod ideas, not enough time!!

That'd be pretty cool. But I couldn't imagine them being bright enough to light up the road??

Can you cut that board into a D shaped since our lights aren't round? I also thought about this awhile back, but just got 09 lights instead lol.

probably not, since all the series circuits are inside the board. if you cut it, you will most likely ruin some connections.

but the thing is only 70mm = ~2.75" OD, so it might fit right?

true, but its 39 superflux LEDs versus you posted 15 5mm ones. plus you can retro in OEM housing...which would be a fun project...i guess i like challenges and stuff that is not completely bolt on sometimes..i believe those are true mods...(any monkey can bolt something on and call it a mod...but thats just me!!)
