I can respect your thoughts on why not to use LEDs for the fogs vs retros but I personally like my LED bulbs in my fogs. They have served their purpose and have never been flashed or told they are too bright. I have driven may times behind people including my wife and have never been told to turn my fogs off. The spread of the fogs is not the same as a retrofit fog, projector or LED, nor do I want it to be. It serves the purpose I want and by no means is a permanent solution. I want to put a pair of LED pods in my fog lights and before someone starts telling me thats an even worse idea, I am not mounting these at an angle to blatantly annoy other drivers. They will be mounted towards the ground to gain optimal spread for objects close to the truck. For my truck, the LEDs are doing exactly what they want and could really care less if anyone else follows that idea or wants to argue against it because at the end of the day its how I feel safe in my truck without pissing off others.

Ever wonder why LED headlight assemblies look completely different from halogen or even HID assemblies? For the perfect example, compare 7" round halogens, HID projector retrofit, and LED headlight assemblies. The LED assembly that most looks like a regular 7" round, the Truck-Lite, does not have the best light output. The LED assembly that has the best light output, the JW Speaker, makes the car look like a UFO. Given this, how can it be expected that an LED can properly mimic a halogen bulb within the size constraints of a halogen bulb?

Having fog lights on increase foreground light and reduce far range vision due to your pupils contracting to compensate for the increased foreground light. That's the scary thing about your line of thought, you're deluding yourself into thinking you're being safe without actually being safer.

As for replacement with LED pods, get Rigids. They have pods properly designed optics that do output a proper fog light beam pattern.

I have plenty of far range light but I dont have the foreground. The scary thing about your line of thought is that you think I am using stock headlights :)

Have you seen the work that goes into Rigid? They do get them from China but completely take them apart and reassemble how they want. Compare a Rigid to CaliRaised or any other LED pod. Youll notice a huge difference. As for the price, I think they are a little to marked up honestly.

from what I hear the SOME Morimoto fog folks are'nt impressed with the light output, I think the misnomer is that they are FOGS not DRIVING lights fogs put light down in front of the vehicle whereas DRIVING lights put it down road ahead

yes, x2 I had Rigid SR-M driving lights on my 04 taco wasn't impressed with the down road light at all, good for deer spotting tho most of the light goes peripheral to the sides, plus the cost even with a discount code was too high, I think EBAY Chinese stuff for less would be equal to them IMO

Please don't compare Cali Raised to Rigid. They're below average in light output and in build quality.

It's like comparing a banana to a balloon.

I was actually saying the opposite to that. Rigid is the best you can buy for light output but I think theyre a little overpriced. CaliRaised is straight from China, Rigid modifies them in house.

yes they are quite overpriced, but its US labor costs versus Chinese slave labor costs, when I bought my Rigids thought they were a completely USA product THE REASON I BOUGHT THEM not a modified Chinese , didn't read the fine lines

I got $12 chinese COB LED halos, and at least 1/4 of the leds have died. I'm going to replace them with $70 Diode Dynamics halos.

Would. I can cover shipping, don't imagine it'd be more than a few bucks USPS?
