Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust, K&N intake, OME 3" lift, Pro Comp Extreme MT2 tires, Mickey Thompson Classic II Wheels, Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers, URD short throw shifter, KC 100 watt lights, custom steel mesh grill, halo headlights, Rigid Industries Dully's, SOS Offroad Concepts front bumper, SOS Offroad Concepts custom rear bumper, All Pro and BAMF skids
So i installed the OME suspension kit on my 07 tacoma on monday. When i put the coilovers on the struts i noticed that the "dirt guard" floated around on the shaft of the strut. So i took it back apart and decided to stack a couple of 1/2" rubber bushings from the old struts on the shaft so that it wouldn't rattle and drive me crazy. Is this going to effect the travel distance of the shock? Should i just let the "dirt guard" float?

Truck looks good. But from your description of the dust cover, sounds like the assembly is not quite right.
