I had a second degree tear of my MCL a couple years ago. Injured it when I crashed mountain biking. At first I didn't feel any pain, but I knew something was wrong cause when I was walking my knee felt very unstable. Anyway, I had it diagnosed by a doctor and the bastard didn't even give me any good drugs! All I took was ibuprofen to keep the swelling down, and I was off work for two weeks. I suggest that you go to physical therapy which will help in the healing process and help keep your knee and surrounding muscles strong. And do the excercises at home to keep it from tightening up - it worked for me. Get well soon man.

Thanks guys, I'm definantly going to have it checked out by a doc, no doubt about that. I know its something you don't just walk it off. I had too many buddies in high school that tore their ACLs in football and they are still feeling the repercussions from lack of care. I just got back from Wal-Mart with a big ass bottle of Ibuprofen, some support wraps, re-freezeable cold packs, and a 6 pack of Coronas. Plus, i've got my finance playing doctor. I think i'll be set for the night.:D
