got rid of chrome, that's about it. (i work in it so cant mod it too much)
I used to work at a dealer as a tech (Chevy) and if i was to "sell" a oil leak repair on a ticket that the customer didn't complain about (under warranty) I'd get in trouble. That's is a good way to get ab auditor to come out and audit the dealers warranty claims. They will always find something when they come out that "should not have been covered" and then the dealer gets hit with the bill. We got hit with 100k of "invalid" warranty claims and one of them was on a truck i replaced the oil pan on because it shipped to us without the drain plug hole being tapped (drain plug just forced in) and was leaving an oil puddle anywhere it was parked. It had 5 miles and was not sold to anyone when i replaced the pan.

The only time it was acceptable to repair something he owner wasn't complaining about was if it was a safety issue (even then GM corporate would want to know everything and have lots of photos taken), not and i repeat not if it would cause a high priced repair in the future. I didn't agree with this but, that is the nature of the industry.

His was a comment about 2wd/4wd trucks. Yours personally attacked him.

And the Forune 50 companies are the top 10% of the Fortune 500. I’m sure you’re smart enough to figure that out, though.

That might all be true. But there is a reason why the dealers have the fame that they have. From the sales to the service department. This might not be the case everywhere.. but here in Los Angeles.. is how it is. Is like doctors.. they don’t work for us any more. But the insurance companies. I had doctors actually complain about that.
My dealer has been good with me so far.. even do I had to go through corporate a couple of times on 2 other Tacomas I owned. But it does give me an unsettling feeling any time something comes up.
I had dealers not change the oil. When they said they did. Or not rotate the tires when they said they did.

Got mine back yesterday. Let’s see how this will last. No engine removal.
