I Just put 285/75/16 terra grapplers and of course have the rubbing issue. So the question is "what can happen" with the rubbing my friend has a older taco and says he just lives with it and doesnt lock the steering wheel all the way. So is that it, i ask because i dont want to be driving and something breaks but i dont wanna trim something wrong

You might have to do some trimming inside the wheel well...Sometimes you can rub on the cabs frame in which case you can have that chopped and reboxed ;)
