The wireless actually can be used as a wired remote.

    Frm there site:
They also include a new controller that can be wired to the winch or unplugged for trouble-free wireless operation

So I just ordered a Pelfrybilt bumper up front. I'm realizing it's cheaper to buy a winch now rather than have to dismount the bumper later to have it installed.

Anyhow, why is that Smittybilt only 11lbs??? The Warn winches on the Warn website are 80-89lbs each. Is that all because of synthetic rope instead of steel cable? Usually the weight of a product suggests quality materials so I'm concerned.

Thats a great price. I have the X20 10k with synth. line. The remote is pretty handy. It pulled myself and another fellow out so far. Pulls fast.

LOL Right? So which is it? That would make more sense though. 20-27lbs difference from synthetic to steel cable makes sense. An 11lb motor on a winch though would be quite scary in my opinion.

This is a tempting deal. I'll probably be that guy with a winch that rarely ever gets used. If I'm going to blow money on something like that I want to make dang sure it's not a pos.
