My first inquisition was to make sure this was a decent bumper since the seller didn't seem to know much about it. Then he said it came off a 2012, but who puts an unfinished bumper on a truck? I mean, its possible for sure, but super unusual. And then he says it is custom made, but those look like CNC cutouts to me; again, not saying that isn't possible (and maybe he works at a machine shop) but then can't answer rating data.

My guess is that this was a porch pirate who grabbed a bumper that was shipped to someone, unfinished. If so, I'd love to see a little justice administered.

Just wondering if someone recognizes this bumper

jeeze, sounds to me like the guy's just trying to get rid of his flower pot. why ya gotta be giving him such a hard time asking honest and perfectly reasonable questions?

What a gem. “Don’t ask too many questions” pretty much confirms it’s stolen.

The guy's an asshole but that doesn't mean he stole the bumper. I'd guess he doesn't know anything about the bumper and being an asshole can't handle questions.

I wouldn't buy it myself as if there is anything wrong with it I don't have the skills to weld/ modify a bumper. I doubt you'll get your money back or any help from the guy either as that's what assholes often do.

Is his asking price really low? Because with that attitude I'd just look elsewhere.

I do think you were right in posting his "salesmanship" skills to his post.

No, I have no idea who made the bumper.

    Walk past.

You don't know if it was stolen.

Seller is unsure about fitment. NO chance of getting any $$ back if it doesn't fit.

Based on the seller's spelling and diction, I'd assume he is from the Middle East or India. Likely not on the level or legit.

Unfortunately no, shipping weight is close to 225lbs.
This is a local pick up or delivery (within reason). It is also made for a 3rd gen.

Yeah, I don’t even bother with those 2 words any more.
Evidently, my definition and other peoples are totally different.

List it on Craigslist, you will see what I mean :D
And you remember the guy wanting to trade you goats?
Yeah, that’s a legitimate trade offer where I live.

I literally tried to sale a dog house once.
Guy offered to trade me chickens. Apparently my chicken wire dog fence lead him to think I need some chickens.

Idk but it seems pretty far fetched for someone to porch pirate a 100-120lb steel bumper and making a quick getaway. He seems to be an irritated seller from a buyer that asked too many questions. Can't blame a seller not wanting to haul something this big and heavy to meet a buyer that he doesn't know who may or may not even show up. He's having you meet at his personal address so you could've shown up without a front bumper and do a test mount before buying. Sure looks like a 2nd gen bumper. Is he a thief? Doubt it.

When you have something somewhat niche like an aftermarket offroad bumper I feel like you would generally know what brand it is and most guys would probably have finished it in something... unless he got it in a trade or something lol, seem a bit suspicious.

More like a lot suspicious. "Jabber" appears to be a retarded douchebag who can't spell or politely answer questions, I'd pass just not to have to deal with that sort. I don't think it's a CBI but whoever built it has looked at CBIs, it looks like it took some styling cues from them.

I saw this ad on Marketplace. Glad I wasn't the only one who had the "scam/stolen" vibe going.

With that amount of surface rust…no thanks. That would be a pitted out POS.
