Possible to get the TRD Off Road with the Advanced Tech Package without a moonroof?

    Is it possible to get a TRD Off Road with the Advanced Tech Package (I want the 360 degree cameras because I suck at parking) but without the moonroof?

    Every truck with the Advanced Tech Package that I've seen in the nationwide inventory spreadsheet has also included the Premium Off Road package which unfortunately has the moonroof. I'm 6'5 so I can't give up the head space.

    not possible from what I know. All the one's I've seen as well with the adv tech have premium.

    Nope. I got the Off Road with no sunroof (6'4") and the only way I could do it was with no packages at all. Nada. I am surprised I have power windows lol but I actually love the "retro" feel. I don't even have blind spot monitors!

    Practice parking?

    Working with a 15 yo in a Pilot now. Use cardboard boxes as perimeters and cover the camera lens with tape.

    It's like learning multiplication tables before you get a calculator. Master the basics, then add in the aids.

    Oh look, another mod....

    Sacrifices must be made! I have the Sunroof, and at 6' 3" is tight when it comes to head room, but I manage. You can always lower the seat so you sit on the very bottom of the floor and lean the seat back even more.

    Our 2021 came pretty much plain Jane with the Lane change monitors, rear camera and Car Play.
    I actually wanted the premium with Leather, Sun Roof etc.
    Now I'm glad we didn't.

    6' 2'. Love my moonroof. Only one I ever had that didn't leak! 6' 5 is gonna be tight though.

    I’m 6’5”, can’t fit in the moonroof trucks.

    If you upgrade the headunit(I’m using the $250 Dasaita) to get a high res screen and upgrade to the Meso taillights(much more rear light for the camera to work with in the dark), the standard backup camera becomes pretty decent. I added a front camera as well that I rarely use for another $20.

    You might look into an Access Cab and see if you can get the Advanced Tech Package. No Access Cabs have a Moonroof.

    There is a tech package and advanced tech (the garbage 360 camera addition mentioned), premium package can be had with either, and though very very rare, there were some trucks that had the premium package without either, yep chrome bumper with leather and a sunroof from the factory.

    I am ordering a 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-road and am trying to decide if I should get the tech package or the advanced technology package. Definitely want leather though. If I get the Advanced technology package with the Multi-terrain-monitor (front and mirror cameras) will I be able to upgrade my grill to the PRO grill with no issues? Thanks!

    I'm 6'4 and mine has the moon roof...can't say I even noticed there was a difference in headroom. You can always slide the shade open too. To be honest I think the cabin feels larger with the moon roof. I think the light and view just opens it up a bit.

    Yes you can upgrade to TRD Pro Grille with no issues. I have adv tech and grille on mine. Important to note my grille came as part of OEM TRD Lift Kit install, so was done by dealership.

    Yes, you will be able to. I did it. I have all the bells and whistles on my truck. The leather, all the cameras, sunroof and upgraded stereo with the sub was worth it.

    Here's the stock grill with front facing camera:


    And the "pro" grill, with the same front facing camera.

    It’s possible. I saw one at my local dealership and it blew my mind because I would have absolutely gotten one.

    I really wish I had taken a better picture but you might be able to see the cloth seats in the pic and you can see the camera bump in the grille and mirror.
