I have the same noise but not as bad, heard it the first time going to Las Vegas, wife was driving then we hit a sand storm. She was freaked out. I had to wake up long enough to tell her to keep going and slow down a bit. For some reason she tends to drive a little faster then I do when in my truck. I would really like to know if Toyota has a good fix. Does anyone know the problem # or TSB Number?

I had that noise on my 2nd gen. It would go away if I folded my driver side mirror in. Haven't run into it with my 3rd gen.

This problem has been around since 2005 and there has been a TSB for the 2nd gens.

See my posts below - YouTube videos for each year from 2005 to 2016 with trucks exhibiting the kazoo noise.
Who's first to post on YouTube for the 2017?
After 12 years and still the same problem. Toyota quality at it's finest.

Oh, and here is the required kazoo kid video.

Mine does it but only when heading South on highway 62 above the 10 freeway when there is a strong cross wind. It's like a kazoo / goose honk

I cannot replicate it anywhere else. How is that going to work to get the TSB verified?

The corner of my rear sliding glass makes this same noise when the front window is cracked. The dealer says that they need the truck for a full day to diagnose/ address noise. I showed them where my kid fixed it by shoving a water bottle between the back seat and the sliding glass. super annoying and I guess I'll have to fix it myself.

yeah the winds are pretty common in this area and especially on the way to AZ which I travel often. I'm thinking about picking up some weather stripping and adding it to the door. I found someone else who did this and if solved the kazoo issue and its pretty cheap.

I think he did it himself by inserting a piece of hose/ clear plastic tubing between the door seal and the door. It worked for him but not for me :(

This is how they fixed it on my 15. I believe it may have been fuel line hose or air vent hose. They inserted it in the hollow door seal and I works.

I have a whistle sucking noise from my passenger door. I did the tubing in the groove behind the seal. Helps some.

I have another whistle that sound similar to my diff howl from about 40 mph to 70 or so. I'm wondering if its my windshield. More of a wind howl I guess than kazoo.

im currently using a rubber hose with a 1/2"od 3/8" ID medium firm and its perfect. the foam may work but if it is absorbent even in the least it can get moldy.

I took mine into the dealer yesterday for the 30,000 mile service. Told him about the noise. When I went to pick it up they said new door seals are ordered and I won't be charged for them. They didn't mention anything about a TSP, but I assume there must've been one because they looked on the computer and seem to find something. Oordered the parts but didn't charge me.
