East coast gets no love with our Mountains haha.

 

No way you guys got the Appalachian Trail. A group of friends did that after high school. They loved it.

 

Yep. Ours are just smaller ish. Actual delta elevation is still good. And we can't go for more than 2 miles on flat land out here.

Personally I’m okay with cold until it gets windy then I’m not happy.

 

I've learned to pack ear plugs for the RTT when it gets windy. Or any of my tents to be honest

Eastern Washington's channeled scabland (what this hilly region that covers 1/3 of the state is called) is absolutely fascinating. Created by a series of megafloods from glacial lake Missoula around the time of the second ice age.

 

That looks like a windows wallpaper.

 

I’m pretty deaf so not worried about that thanks to the Marine Corps

 

I wish that were the case for me. Pipe welder. Mostly underground energy services. So basically tin cans the size of a bathroom with grinders lit up all day haha.


We do a lot of winter camping so my head is Burried under the blankets anyways haha. It helps

 

You’re blind I can’t hear we would make great retirement friends lol. Every welder I meet doesn’t have good eye sight

Luckily no, but now with all the green maybe? Closer to the border you do, there are some by Otay mountain for sure.

 

Haha, my wife is half Japanese. We went there for our honeymoon. It was awesome. She can't wait to go back. We do want to explore more of the country though. Thinking Hokkaido maybe...but it'll be a long ways off not matter what.
