Post air dam/ tranny TSB results on off road.

I drove the truck all week on mixed street/hwy driving and the difference is negligible. As a matter of fact i believe my street mpg decreased after TSB. I couldnt be for sure since its been 100 degrees and had the A/C on all the time.

On a side note the air dam does decrease road/wind noise tremendously. Im gonna keep it on just for the noise reduction. Atleast I dont feel bad i wasted money on it.

Lol I posted it really quick and didnt realize. Im just pissed it didnt help with the gas mileage

 

The first tank, I lost .3 off my tank average; from 18.8 to 18.5.

Quarter of the way through the second tank, I'm at 21.5 tank average. I hope the trend stays/continues.

Caveat;
-Pre-TSB, I used S-mode. Now I use D.

 

The truck seems to drive with a modified version of the etc button on after the tsb. I'd rather have better acceleration than mpgs. I took my air dam off too and didn't notice much of a difference. Did you have them do the lca tsb too? Since then the whistle is gone.

 

I took mine off and haven't noticed extra noise. Did you have the control arm TSB done before you installed the air dam?

 

Airing up your tires to -4lbs below the max load stated on the sidewall of you tires helps get better mileage

I love the way it drives so im not second guessing the tranny tsb. My hway mpgs remain the same my city mpgs went done .5 mpg at 17.8 city. Im still getting around 20-21 mixed driving.

Post air dam, with windows open and sunroof open I comfortably hear the non jbl entune at volume 30. Pre air dam it was closer to 40.

 

What about the control arm TSB?

 

I'm hearing of all these "TSB" I was not aware of. Is there anywhere I can see ALL the TSB updates? I was only aware of the recent transmission tsb update..

If one is not on Tacoma World how do they find out about theas TSB?

 

I never did that. Im gonna have to do this tsb.

 

You only would find out here or if you went into the dealer complaining about it.

There's not a thread listing each tsb although that's not a bad idea. The best advice I could give is to use the search for tsb and check the box for search in title only. As far as I know there have only been the two updates on the 2016
