Just installed the Eibach Pro Stage 1 and went from OR stock 265/75r16 to 265/70r17 tires. A very well known shop but I feel they dropped the black on this one.
After I dropped it off he called and had all kinds of questions because he did not have specs for the 22 only 21. He said there were a bunch of different options to choose and chose one he thought was the best. He said he could not get caster in spec and said just drive it and see how it feels and if I don’t like it bring it back and we will keep trying. The whole process has me worried and wishing I took it elsewhere.

anyway, what do you guys think?

1st gen - it's got a built engine, a turbo, and waaaaaaay too much to list. 3rd gen - basic-bitch lift, S/C, Pro Wheels
    How much lift?
Did you replace the upper control arms?

It's talked about all over this forum of caster being an issue when lifting Tacomas beyond a certain point. That's why everyone that goes above like 2 inches or so installs aftermarket upper control arms, it's for this very issue.

Only a 2” lift but it’s settled to more like 1.6” or so and i did not replace the UCA because of it being under 2.

Oh ok. It's also good to note that having positive caster is not a bad thing. You won't get uneven tire wear from any caster setting unless the left and right sides are like completely opposite, like one max'd positive and one max'd negative...

It's actually generally accepted that you want *some* positive (if I remember correctly) caster outside of the "spec" to help it return to center easier after lifting it. Take it out on the highway and see if it floats a little and the steering feels wonky when you driving at speed and the go over a bump or over pass or something and the trucks suspension extends upwards after compressing. If so, you actually need MORE caster. Not less.

If I'm wrong on the positive part, then it's just flipped and needs to be negative, either way everything else is accurate. You could search it though and find threads for days about this topic.

So just wanted to update that i have got used to driving the truck more now and it's not as bad as it was in the beginning. I also found out that they screwed up when balancing my tires and 2 of the tires the weights had fell off the day i drove it home so I don't know if that was causing the wobble issues or not but after i brought it back and they re-balanced them all it seems to be better.

However, I have noticed that my front tires especially my driver side are wearing already on the outer edges of the tire, like pretty serious. Sorry if this is a dumb question but when it comes to vehicles I am a real n00b, what could be causing this? I'm running Falken Wildpeaks at 33PSI so I dont think its an inflation issue. Could this be a result from the alignment specs?
