Howdy - just got my Fox 2.0 front coils, Fox 2.0 rear shocks with reservoirs, and Headstrong AAL with factory overload left in - on my truck today.

Need to adjust the front coils up - but - wondering if folks have suggestions on where you bring your vehicle for an alignment?

Newer to the area - and reall all that comes up when you google alignments in my area (Perry Hall, MD - north of Baltimore) are places like Firestone, Mr Tire, etc.

Can these places do a good enough job?

    Thanks in advance.

Should post this in Maryland subforum, but what most do is go wherever the best reputation is.

Wow... I can't believe nobody has suggested the dealer. Factory trained and warranty good anywhere in the country. Think about it, the only thing they work on is Toyota's. Who better?

Here's a little trick. Go to McDonalds and get $10 worth of dollar biscuits and burritos. Make sure everyone gets some from the porter to the technicians. Then ask the service writer to give your truck to his best Tacoma tech. I do this every time I take my cars in and always receive the best service. Treat people how you would like to be treated and you will get great service back.

Mainly because lifted suspensions don’t benefit from the same alignment specs of a stock height truck, and dealers aren’t able to align outside of manufacturer specs.

My dealer did. I just asked to speak to the tech that was going to align my truck, and I told him I wanted as much caster as possible.
The printout shows Toyota’s specifies range (for caster) of 1.3* to 2.8*. The tech gave me 3.6*

I know this isn’t true for all dealers, but I’ve had really good luck with mine. That’s the second time I brought my truck to them to fix an alignment that some other tire shop fucked up. I should’ve learned my lesson the first time. From now on, I’m only going to the dealer.

That’s great if they can. None of ours will get near it.

Oh now now... Just tell them what specs you want and they will get it as close as they can. If they say it's not recommended ask them if you can sign off on the repairs and all will be cool. The big thing is that they don't want you coming back with tire wear problems or such and crying warranty. It's important that you make sure they know you're not a whiney warranty bitch.
