Installed in the front ome 885’s, and 5100’s spc uca’s, & sway bar drop kit. The adjustable bilsteins are up on settings so i have about a 2.5” lift. And a diff drop. Also did the cmc for 285’s. Sounds, feels great. Then......

A few weeks later... turning right i get a clunk on pax side. Now i get it from going forward from a complete stop and turning any direction at slow speeds. I dont feel it on the highway. Its just a clunk. I put a gopro down there but engine and road noise drowned out everything. Its a dull mild clunk. As if someones not tightened a bolt or nut. Could it be where the spring is either moving slightly or when the shock/strut pushes down with bumps and turns, the spring doesnt push down enough to keep full pressure contact? And it ends up moving slightly? Anyone have any ideas on this? I know theres fuc**** threads on this but after reading 30 plus forum pages i still am lost at sea with this sh**. My possible solution is to eventually get rid of the ome’s and do a complete rebuild on the front? Ive taken the truck in twice now and the mechanics have re torqued tightened and double checked. But i wasnt there over there shoulder so. I trust no one. Its the most annoying sound when driving around town or going offroading. Please help!!!

Check the alignment cam bolts on your lower control arms. I had the same noise and the bolts that hold the lower arms were loose.

Did you re-torque all the components following your install?

Can i do this with a torque wrench without lifting the truck? I think its 100ft lbs but if i tighten these cam bolts will it change the dials on the alignment? Im mechanically inclined but dont wanna fuck shit up either

You need to check and re-torque every nut and bolt the was touched during your install.

Mark the cams with a sharpie so you can watch to see if they turn, then torque them to 100. Make sure the truck is sitting on the ground when you do, you want the vehicle at ride height to torque the lower arms.

Yes, you have to. If you tighten the bolts with it up on a jack you can throw the alignment off since the arms are not at the angle they would be at ride height.

Never mind, just saw you weren't replying to my post. Good luck!

Don't know if you've posted in the New Members Thread yet, but welcome to TW! :hattip:

My buddy @Taco critter has always seemed to be a lift kit and steering/suspension guru in the past, so maybe he can help you!

Possible front radiator bushings are going out, they don’t last long. Energy suspension makes a poly set.
