    Have you spent much time in the area?
    I can't help but think that there are significant differences between Elko and Huntington Beach.
    I do understand your desire to get out of SoCal.

    I haven't but my wife's family just relocated on the outskirts of Reno. The employer I'm speaking to is located in Sparks so we would need to be somewhat close to the area.
    I've been stuck here for 33 years due to work but we should have left a long, long time ago.

    You could do much worse than Reno as far as big cities go. Sparks is really growing. In fact, the whole area is growing. Sounds to me like the Bay Area is moving in.
