Got to use my sunroof in the bipolar 70+ degree Mississippi weather this past weekend.

Just 2 weeks ago, it was near single digits with snow on the ground.

Does your truck tend to heat up like a blast furnace when the heater is on too? I've found that if I raise the sunroof and crack the back cab slider it puts a really nice airflow around the top of the cab and keeps things evened out.

Of course, I live in Nevada where we have 280 days of sunshine a year. Tactic may not be applicable in the rain.

I have a buddy in Hernando, and man did he bitch last week when it got cold and he couldn't go golfing in the middle of winter lol

I actually live in Hernando. I was in Oxford on Saturday and Sunday visiting some friends (my first REAL weekend off in a month). But when the frigid cold was here, my heater never failed. Neither did my butt warmer seats.

As far as golfing goes, I don't really care for golf. But if he was trying to golf in the snow, more power to him. o_O

That's a nice area. By some odd stroke of luck or weirdness, the last two companies I worked for both had major facilities around Hernando. I've spent a lot of time down there over the years. I could never handle the heat or humidity, but it's a pretty area. The Como steakhouse is amazing.

Hernando is "home" (more or less). I spent almost the last 20 years in Oxford. Loved it. I loved being near my alma mater. I loved working for the University. I loved being able to go to football games.

Saying that, the head man in the dept. on campus where I worked wasn't conducive to a good work environment. So like many others during the pandemic, I packed up and moved home. I now have a nephew I can pretty much see when I want (and spoil). My mom and aunt are getting up in age (not elderly, but aren't spring chickens anymore either), so I'm also there to help with them. Wasn't what I wanted, but the Good Lord had His reasons for getting me to move home.

I had a day to kill one time I was out there so I got some Zaxbys and drove down to Ole Miss to walk the grounds, check out the library, see the art and little museums. Day well spent.

For a year or so, I probably spent 4 months off and on at the Holiday Inn by the Olive Garden.

Kinda strange how I've spent almost my entire life on the West Coast and I can still probably drive around Hernando without a map lol
