    An abandoned mining town in NV. Due to its remoteness, much of the town was well preserved, about a dozen houses, many with window glass. No bullet holes or graffiti. We explored adits, a headframe, a big-ass mill, ore bins, plus we saw lots of other fun artifacts including a couple old Powerwagons, also in good shape. The town is ~7300' elevation. They were primarily looking for silver and lead, but also found tungsten, molybdenum, zinc, and gold.

    Interesting find. Reminds me of a small road trip I took down in the Missi'ppi Delta. There is a village called Money. Unincorporated. Very rural, farm setting. The only things there are some old families in the area, railroad tracks, cotton and soybean fields, and a few historical markers regarding Emmitt Till. You can read more about it here:

    Saying all that, when I was there, a vehicle with Tennessee tags pulls up, and some folks get out. They start taking pictures, and reading the historical markers there in Money. I started to talking to one of them, and as it turned out they were from Canada, and doing a tour through the Delta visiting some of the Blue Historical sites. One of them politely asked, "Where downtown Money was?"

    I sorta chuckled and told her that the buildings and markers were "downtown." Most of the area was rural farm country. I don't think she was prepared for that. Anyways, they got back into their rented vehicle and went on about their business -- going wherever God was taking them.
