Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
Two pics. For those who enjoy cattle, and for those who don't.

The cattle were a few days ago. Blocked my access to a lake. There were about 50 cattle, cows, calves and a few bulls. They were at a cattle guard and could go no further, and one side was a hill (not the best climbers) and the other side a drop off into the bush.

A cowboy on horseback comes behind me, and goes into the herd to try to push them into the bush. They would not budge and were just bellowing. He tells me I will have to just inch through. I did, and they were not happy, butting my truck as I went through at a snails pace. One bull decides to mount a cow as I am pushing through. That was pretty funny. Good thing he did not mount the truck.

The other pic from a few weeks ago. A really nice remote fishing lake, but rained for 18 straight hours and heavy. Fished for 2 hours in the pouring rain, and it finally stopped when I got the boat back on and left. Always stops when you leave...

Pretty sure it’s just an arctic ground squirrel. For whatever reason they were super tame and ran up to us when we parked and got out of the truck.
I blame the tourists. Probably feeding them for generations

Yesterday. So many horseflies and blackflies I had to empty almost a full bottle of repellent on all of my clothing and skin. Truck seats are soaked in it now. Went to look for a small lake an old timer told me about. Nope, it was all dried out, shallow, weeds. He must have fished it at least 20 years ago.

2 spots. The cattle near a little lake I need to keep quiet. In the Okanagan, BC. The other is a small remote lake up near Lac Le Jeune, BC.

Really have to keep the names of such lakes private now. It is getting very hard to find a private lake for fishing. I notice Covid has really driven a lot more people into the backwoods that otherwise would not have gone.

Bizarre when you consider how many fishing lakes are in BC.

To give some scale. Okanagan lake is in the middle of this image. It is 84 miles long. This is just a small fraction of the fishing lakes in BC.

Every fish icon here, is a lake or stream known to have fish in it. Most very small, 1-2 miles in length and such.

In this view, I have fished about 40 of these lakes, and only 3 are ones I can fish alone due to their remoteness, and 4x4 rough access. Of course some I have not found yet, not enough days in the week. Many are hike in only, which tend to be the best fishing and most scenic.
