Hah! It does look oddly clean, but my truck only has 2k miles on it.... And the pic was taken at the entrance to the beach, before the creek crossing and the hundreds of Velella Velella (jellyfish creatures) got kicked up from the tires and plastered to the undercarriage. It took over an hour of pressure washing to get those things off the bottom of my truck.

I'm not sure what the rest of you do on West Coast beaches, but I plan to avoid any patch of beach with those creatures from now on. Once they dried to the truck, I basically had to scrape them off one by one.

 

LOL. I was thinking the same thing!

I remember when my truck was brand new. The engine was showroom clean. Then I got a little too excited driving through some muddy water. WooHoo! Next time I popped the hood I had a messy surprise waiting for me. Crazy about those jellyfish!

What is it that you are using as a deck in the rear seat area?
That caught my eye as I use the rear seat area (seats folded down) for storage on solo trips.
So far I've used the rear seat to keep some soft gear but primarily it is the place for my cooler and a couple of crates with food items and cooking stuff. (Since the AC is helpful when it is warmer outside...)

I was looking at the pic of your truck again. What rock slider do you have and how do you like them? Those are exactly what I'm thinking of adding to my truck.

Thanks. My sliders are Cali Raised LED sliders (step edition) with textured top plates. I haven't yet had to use them on rocks, so i can't speak to that...but so far, I love them and would absolutely buy them again. Great customer service from those guys as well!
