Keeps those places beautiful ... otherwise every weekend there will be 200 quads and jeeps and tacoma's out there cutting donuts.
There will be beer bottles, shotgun shells, .223 shells, old couches, busted washing machines.... you name it.

Great shots of a great place - I was there last year after adding some Wildpeaks to the truck and
I think you'll agree that I was glad I did. I was pretty surprised at how rough that drive was and
I was damn glad to have 4WD coming out of that place.

The history of that area is pretty cool too, and there are areas where you shouldn't go unless you want
to glow in the dark from the radiation - read up on the Goulding's and how they worked to settle that area
    and basically protect that area.

They use water tanker trucks to spray & wrangle the dust(which also may or may not be to mitigate radioactivity), so some of the uphill sections can get a bit slippy-sloppy wet.

Having worked with nuclear weapons for about a decade in the USAF + living in AZ for many years, I’ve been aware of the atomic lore of Monument Valley for a long time now. I’ve been to most of the atomic tourism sites out here in the Southwest. The nukes didn’t kill me, so I don’t think a few days in MV will get me…

They got it pretty wrapped up and tight but I saw areas that were roped off to mitigate habitat destruction
and I suspect areas where radiation levels were at least popping the detectors. You and I understand that
you don't go farting around areas that are dangerous but we've seen too many others ( Tourons ) do really
stupid sh*t .... and I'm not sure if protecting these Darwinism idios is to the benefit of mankind.... they tend
to breed more of the same right?..
