    Next time head over and check out horse heaven. Lots of old homesteads in the ranchland north of there. Beautiful this time of year. Still way way too much snow to get up in the mountains!

    That spot is awesome at sunrise. I've stopped there a few times on my way to Crabtree/Gianelli Trail heads.

    Not many people are aware of that pass. I grew up in Kernville so to me it is the only way to cross the southern Sierra Nevada.
