Reason I asked if I have a few Bauer tools and have been extremely happy with them. Figured the polisher would also make me happy haha

Don't use HF pads, they are junk. Use meguiars, lake country or buff and shine. You'll be happy you did. The lake country hdo are the toughest pads out there and do a very nice job. A lake country 5" backing plate fits nicely on the HF unit

Yeah I’m new to all of this. Was looking at some chemical guys pads. Paints not in bad shape but have some water spots on the hood hand waxing won’t remove. Anything by hand I’m a pro at. When it comes to fixing paint with polishers I’m a newb lol

Get lake country pads, they work well and will last. I think a lot of chem guys stuff is all hype. Lake country makes good stuff. Get a HF dual action, a lake country 5 inch backer and some LC hdo pads. You can find them on sale on autogeek and detailed image all the time. Also Amazon. If your cheating out on themachine, at least get the right backing plate and pads it's only a few bucks more and you'll be glad you did. Also keep an eye open for porter cable da, they can be found for around $100 on sale

It will absolutely fill your polishing needs, a good backing plate and pads will help immensely

So far I don't wax it. I just use spray shine with microfiber towels. I don't wax black because I had a 99 black Tacoma and I drove myself nuts with crappy wax streaking everything. Now just spray wax only.IMG_20190726_094536.jpg IMG_20190726_094458.jpg IMG_20190726_094536.jpg

This is a pretty solid detailing channel that did a review of it, I didn't really watch the video but from the title it doesn't look favorable.

I use all Blackfire Products and have for years. My 5 year old paint still looks new living in the Salt Belt. Clay Bar, swirl remover, then paint sealant.
