If you need another car to shuttle the Toiyabe Crest trail... keep me in mind. I was kicking around how I'd do that when I was out there this July. I've got family in Utah and the Midwest so I find myself driving Hwy 6 a fair amount to go back and forth. Love Nevada and make it over there a fair amount, but it also hard to justify driving 4 hours from Bishop when there's so much to see locally... many more trips planned though!

Pic from the Toiyabe Range when we were watching comet neowise pass by.

I'll definitely let you know when I make a real plan for it!

Great picture, looks like the perfect spot to see the comet. I went out to Lincoln County off the Extraterrestrial Highway for that just in case it decided to land

Sounds good! Most friends are like nah... I want to stay in the Sierra, but I really do love the desert ranges too. Still need to do the Extraterrestrial Highway myself and see the Pioche/Cathedral Gorge corner of the state.

Summer is a great time in the state of Washington. While much of the rest of the year might be dreary and gray, the long days and clear air between mid-July and September are nothing short of perfection for getting out to enjoy the mountainous terrain in the western part of the state. (In the 4Runner this time.)

Had a long weekend last week so I hit some fun trails and secret spots in the White Mountains, hiked the peak, and went up to Bridgeport to hot spring with a friend. Jealous of everyone who gets to live along the 395
