Pretty high up on the Mt.Elbert trail at Twin Lakes, Colorado. I had just started my way back down due to weather and my passenger succumbing to his strong phobia of heights.

well there was a tower like that at the end. Near Darrington right?

 

if it was near darrington it was probably north mountain lookout, which is now gated and being renovated so it can be rented out for overnight stays. The lookout in my pic is on the east side

 

Hopefully gonna be getting 33’s and bill Stein 5100s within the next month

 

This reminds me of this lookout we visited years ago. Can't remember exactly where this is other than it was in the national forest north of Winthrop. Awesome views from up there.
