If you ever do I’ll send you the pin for those falls. It’s not overly difficult. But makes for a nice spot for a beer! With MT Robson in plain sight too.

North Central New Mexico, headed up Mt. Taylor to La Mosca Lookout, and then out in the mesas and volcanoes that spill to the north.

So a bit of a story on these. We'd planned to do the Alpine Loop after the NMBDR, but it was raining heavily in Silverton when we arrived - so we decided to just take the highway to Ouray. Just as we were going to head out of town, the rain let up a bit. I suggested to @mrs.turbodb that, "maybe we should just drive up the Hurricane Pass Road a little way, so you can get a better view." And then, I added, "No matter what, we'll turn around after half an hour at the most."

Famous. Last. Words. We were literally starting a slippery slope.

More from Rady creek, aka silvercup ridge. We managed to get the BC govt to back off closing this trail this year, hopefully we can get them to f-off permanent. There’s lawsuits happening, and a lot of anger from residents of the area, many of whom have mine claims up here, accessible only by this road.

This is the same area, American Creek FSR. Lots of old mine workings in the area.

A fun afternoon trek to Wisconsin's 6th highest peak-Mount Whittlesey and its stunning fire tower! 1880's Berkshire iron mine ruins along the way.
