You'll love the Alaska highway starting in Dawson Creek Canada. Wife & I did it in the first week of September 2003. Started in Vancouver BC and made it to Whitehorse, Haines and Skagway Alaska. Drove back the Stewart Cassiar Hwy. Stopped in at Hyder/Stewart for some Grizzly Bear Viewing. Loved every minute of the trip.

Can't wait to do the trip again with the kids.

Wow!!! That is breathtaking in September, it is also my birthday month so this may have to happen next year! The milestone was the first trip planing tool I got. Great resource. I have noted your suggestions! Thanks!! What’s the next big trip for you?

If we could manage to do it one day it would be Tuktoyaktuk https://spectacularnwt.com/destinations/western-arctic/tuktoyaktuk

Good call on the Milepost. Good old fashioned travel guide. I would also suggest
    Historic Barkerville https://www.barkerville.ca/
Liard River Hot Springs https://bcparks.ca/explore/parkpgs/liard_rv_hs/photos/ and
Sign Post Forest https://yukoninfo.com/watson-lake-signpost-forest/ Don't forget to bring a sign to hang.

I was going through some old pictures and found this from a trip four years ago. I was going to post it as a challenge to see if anyone could guess where it is, but it after skimming through some earlier posts on this thread I don’t think it will be too hard for a few of you.

Great Pic. I also PMd you @elmontemike. I have one night in a 4Runner with RTT in Red Rock Canyon and looking for advice on best routes and primitive camp tomorrow 4/27/21 night. If anyone has any advice for me it would be greatly appreciated. I was originally planning on Death Valley but that is getting nixed due to amount of travel time and I won't get the 4 Runner until 11-12 tomorrow.

It wasn't the noise, the tent keeps the noise down pretty good, but the wind was shaking the whole truck as if someone was jumping on it.

Oh thanks...I've done a lot of photography but very little long exposure stuff. I bet you could get a similar shot on your iPhone on a tripod. You'd be surprised.
