damn mike. What lens did you shoot those with, straight up canon L!? Also what kind of post proc. did you do? Great choices in aperture settings for your focuses!

 

Yea he has a bad ass 10-22 L lens..

uses PSE for post. He is well practiced can't wait to see all his trip photos

 

I need to find an internship in Canada next summer. The landscapes up there look so incredible.

Most of those are with the wide angle lens. I use aperture priority exclusively so I can maintain the lens's f stop sweet spot and enough depth of field. I shoot in RAW and use PS Elements.

Canon doesn't actually make an "L" lens in the EF-S line but others have written that this particular lens is of the same quality and I have to agree. It is my fav.

 

nice! Yea i think AV is the way to go. DOF is so critical in your image feel depending on what your backdrop is. Does your 10-22 keep a low AP thru the zoom then? Sorry too lazy to look it up ha.

 

It is f3.5 at the wide end and gradually goes up to f4.5 at 22mm. If it was a true "L" quality it would be a constant f2 or something. And probably cost 3x as much too.

yea the "L" lenses are just gross $ for a hobbyist... Would be nice to carry an f2 out that far tho. I hear you can rent a good Tele lens in Jackson, WY area for trips into the Yelly area or wherever I may try it for fun this fall!
