Bad winter + cougars & oncoming wolf packs doesn't look good for the deer/elk population :(

I'll take care of the wolves :infantry:

But ya not to mention if they come down to easy ground and the Indians find them. Fingers crossed though hopefully we have a decent winter like last year and the heards can continue to rebound a little.

Say tacomakid & Pyrite, do either of you two know if the elk are active around the ridge? I've heard from other forums that they've been pretty dead lately

They were bugling during the muzzy opener a few years back & my Mom's coming out this year so I'm hoping they'll put on a show for her :)

There starting to quiet down now, they are past the peak. But you may get something to answer back.

    Much appreciated
We usually just cow call, that works occasionally- but now that Bethel cow tags are harder to draw we're hoping (like everyone else) to catch an unsuspecting spike :infantry:

thanks! yea come to socal and spend a weekend in Joshua Tree National Park. Go to the Old Dale Mining District part of the park, and you'll find yourself in complete isolation in the middle of countless abandoned gold mines.

Looks awfully snowy for the Seattle-ish area... I haven't driven the I-90 pass since it apparently got some snow (well, US-2 anyway). We'll see tomorrow morning when I head back over to the east side

Hey so I'm gonna get over to Bethel on Friday and have time after I finish setting up our elk camp around 10am or so. Yippie. If anyone else wants to hit this for a little while let me know
