Bought this last Fall. It's about 1/2 done. Used to have a gen3 Magna that I totalled but always thought I'd like to work on one of these.

This was a Gen3 Magna that was pretty much done but I totalled it in 2007.

Thanks...........Still need to detail the motor (paint engine casing, cylinders and polish out the side cases and valve covers). Originally thought I'd change the color of the tins but the red has kinda grown on me. Haven't figured out a new color scheme yet that makes me want to take the leap of time and money...........These bikes are pretty rare these days but the red is common on these bikes which is why I wanted to change the color.:goingcrazy:

Burnt red/orange would look great if you kept it suttle and not to bright. Sort of close to stock but still unique.

every time I see a CX500 it usually has a billion and five miles on it and has a milk crate strapped to the back. nice to see one without the milk crate for once.

My sunny day "girl's" bike. Over the years I've owned lots of girl's things (Miata, S2000, .22's, 9mm's, Yamaha Vino scooter, etc) and I don't have any problem with that, hell I'M having fun, that's all that matters.

And my daily rider, the reason my 5 month old Tacoma only has 2100 miles.

Not sure if you were responding to me or not, but, I really like the idea of a burnt red/orange as a possibility. I've seen similar colors on cars and always thought they a rich look and also a racy look.

thanks man! i think its a pretty cool little bike too. certainly a big transformation from what they are factory!

The title just came in the mail today too! so stoked! It came about a week early as well, so i thought I had more time to get it finished, but I still have stuff to do on it.

What do you guys think of my plan for the rear fender placement? (its actually a front fender im chopping because I like the slimmer wrap around look. It will probably sit a bit lower, but should it go out more? or come in? or does it look fine where its at?

nice dude! if you find some pics, post em up! id love to see it.

been watching some of these guy's vids recently...and dam! they are both absolutely crazy and very talented!

the freakin guy at :56 and 3:19 posting a video to FB standing on the seat backwards blew my mind the first time I saw it!
