Here is a picture I took of mine yesterday on the way home from work. It's been a little chilly in the mornings but turns into beautiful evenings.

 

I miss my KP, had an '04 Super Sonic Blue color like yours, but sold it after 5 years to try something different.

 

Wow, Damn that thing is clean! Mine is kind of a basket case, rear fender chop was mostly due from damage and I pulled the front fender because it just didn't look right after the rear was cut. I am willing to bet that mine had a hard life from the previous owner, it needs a lot of cleaning up but will make a fun winter project.

 

I would trip/chop the front and put it back on... needs something on the front end

Gravel roads or just debris on the road is not fun without a front fender

 

Yeah It's going back on, I wouldn't even want to hit a puddle of water without a front fender. Can't imagine how bad it would suck to get caught in the rain or ride a gavel road.

 

I mean to balance the look too....
I ran a 72 cb350f for years with no fender... but we don't exactly get much weather in SD

 

I thought that SD meant South Dakota and I was going to call you insane! Haha now I see you're from San Diego.

We get about three or four months of good riding weather in the Dakotas and a good chunk of that is super windy or something else. I love the Midwest, but I sure would enjoy year round riding as well.

 

Rain sucks with or without a fender. What will really piss you off is hitting a wet road without a front fender. It might as well be raining lol. I'm not running a front fender or not much of a back one either and I don't ride my bike until the roads dry up because I will get soaked. Gravel roads aren't bad or at least not for me because my tires don't pick up rocks. I don't even have problems with debris on the highway unless it's sand and it's mostly my back tire that blasts sand on my back.

 

On a lot of bikes, the front fender is also used as kind of a brace to keep the forks matched. I don't know how hard you have to ride to notice it missing, but your fender probably had a metal brace inside. I took the fender off my bobber, but you really can't ride it that hard anyway.

 

On some bikes you can add an extra brace and it actually helps with the ride.

Mine was pretty much stock except for a Stage 1 kit. Still, if I wasn't careful she'd pick up the front wheel coming off a light.

It was the first in a line of now 4 Victory bikes, each one better than the last- and the 'Pin was a helluva good start.

 

Here is an oldy I took back in 2001-2002? My rear tire was done, and it was the end of riding season, so I decided to pose for a squidly picture. Note my sweet 1988 tercel in the background.

 

Thanks, I babied it but also put a lot of miles on it in the 5 years of ownership. Had a couple 10k years and that's with around a 6 month riding season around here. Victory makes great bikes, and better suited to tall people than Harley's, at least that's what I found. My back really doesn't like the riding position as much as a more upright, feet below you position, which is the main reason I sold it. If I could find a good condition KP for a reasonable price, I think I would put one in my garage as a 3rd bike.

Yes, they hold an advertized 10.5 gallons. When your bike gets worse mileage than most small cars, they are kinda handy. Horses need hay.
