Yeah it sucks. They were barely breaking even on the days they let the bikes ride. Between the track crew for flagging and the onsite ambulance fees they had to put an end to it. The make a ton of money renting the karts though. Plus guys would show up with their shifter karts and throw down some crazy fast laps.

Wow, they did it up right. We would go on after the carts. No track crew or onsite ambulance....

Yeah I did some track days at Infineon raceway when I lived in the SF Bay Area. And they would alternate between karts and bikes.

    Not here though.

Infineon, now thats an experience. Closest I have ever made it to infineon was via FORZA....

There is VIR down in Danville, but that's one heck of a drive from NoVA. They still run supermoto races.

Infineon is an awesome track. Very fast and tons of grip. The asphalt they use is much nicer than the junk they use at Summit Point WV.

That I can, that I can

Yeah, I'm lookin to move to Richmond or the northern area if I can find a decent construction contractor to work for. And yeah Danville from NoVA, so not worth it.

I want a KLR but I feel it'll struggle to pull my heavy ass threw anything except flat highways. Cool pics!

It's not as bad as the internet banter makes it sound.

I ride two up with my girlfriend to and from work 75-85 mph no problem.

Up and down the mountain passes are great. Usually cruise in 3rd.

The suspension is soft, but I adjusted the rear (Stock rear shock has a preload adjustment). If I plan to keep the bike, you can stiffen up the front for little $.

I almost got a BMW, but the KLR is so much more affordable to upgrade. Oh, and no computer programming degree required!

Klr's are like tractors, tons of torque. It won't get you anywhere fast but it will get you there.

Yup, the BMW 1200GS is pretty slick but too pricey for me. The KLR price is much more manageable.
