As long as they don't compromise how it handles on the road I'm fine with them. They're labeled as 90/10 just like the Distanzias, so we'll see. It'll be a while before I need new sumo tires anyways.

 

Here's my machine! 1999 Honda CR125R. First generation of aluminum framed dirt bikes. Polished up a the frame, the pipe, and other goodies

 

60 degrees today means I get to take the bike out for a few minutes

 

It's sunny and almost 60 here today also, but too much damn road salt here!

 

Isn't that what a hose is for?

 

It was low 50's yesterday and I got the bike out for a few hours. Up here in PA we are still having melt off from that big snow

Both me and the bike were a complete mess

Spent more time cleaning it then I did riding

 

Same down here in VA, but Im not even going to touch my bike until April

We will have to ride in the spring. Im not afraid to say Im a fair weather rider.

 

I ride in the winter as long as the roads are dry and salt free.

 

I don't like getting my softail or my classic KZ900's wet. Salt is so bad here it's like riding on gravel, no thanks i'll wait til the roads are dry and salt free. I'll wait til after a good rain washes the salt away. I don't even drive my tacoma when the roads are salty, It stays in the garage with my classic cars during the winter.

 

Where I live in PA the salt isn't the problem ..it's the gravel amd cinders on the road . It's like riding on ball bearings

 

Here's a couple of mine, daily driver HD Street Bob, an old 1981 Kawi KZ550, and a currently ongoing project with a 1981 Yamaha Virago 920.

Your friend seems to be a LOT more talented than me, I'm digging his wheel inserts on the stock ugly wheels. I'm just hacking my way through this project (18 months deep now) and crossing my fingers in hopes that it starts by spring time.

I thought I would start a new project once I finished this, but now I am not so sure. I would love to find a Supermoto or some sort of sporty Dual-Sport to add to the stable.

 

The wheel inserts are his thing. He machined them.

Seems like everyone is going supermoto lately. That's what I want to do also. I can find a few years old crf450s for 2k with titles. But also at the same time, i want a Harley 48 or a Honda Grom. Decisions decisions

 

More into riding vintage, my 1981 R100RS BMW

 

I have a 03 HD softail but i prefer to ride my vintage 1976 Kawi's. Everybody has a Harley but not many 40yo KZ's running around anymore.

 

My old sumo, I miss it but we had fun together.
