If you have ridden the Dragon then you know who takes these. When my brother and I got off of it he said I ride it like a sports bike, but you guys are insane on that rode.

I wasnt going crazy, because I went down last year on a different road near where I live.

There were others that were passing the group I was with, and dragging knee every turn. Those guys are insane. AND some people were doing that with a passenger. (Not on a cruiser though)

The last one I had. Our town has been going to shit driver wise, one day I almost gone run down 3 times, after work I put it on craigslist. Maybe another one down the line but only for the track.

I've been riding the "Dragon" since the early 70's when I first went down it with my two stroke Suzuki T 250. Back then it was just another fun twisty to ride in the neighborhood since it was only about hmmm maybe 35 miles away from where I lived in Waynesville, NC. Now it's Squid heaven with the kids on crotch rocket's trying to earn a spot on the "tree of shame". Can't blame them for I to was once dumb and stupid and thought I was indestructible, now I'm just dumb and stupid! Last time I went there was a few years ago and I thought I was on a carnival ride with the photographers snapping my and my youngest son photo as we rode down the mountain on my 81 R100RS BMW. I'll never forget my boy screaming slow down dad as I laid the bike into the turns. :D

Spilser How do you like the 650 I was thinking about getting one with bags and more aggressive tires for the trails. I looked at the triumph and bmw but I don't want to pay that much.

I like it alot, I got a great deal on it and it is pretty easy to tinker with. It has suprisingly been handling trails really well. She is no speed demon compared to my late FZ1, but a great all around bike. Seeing as the bike has changed minimally over 30 years, parts and forum support are everywhere. Plus you won't be as upset when you drop a KLR vs a 10-15 k triumph/bmw.

Depends on what you want to do with it. If you want primarily a trail ride, it is not a great choice. But it is a great all around bike, it's not great at anything, but decent at everything. Plus I scored mine for 5 hundo plus a carb clean and new gear shifter. I'll take it!
