^ Nice! I want a dual sport or scrambler so bad. Hit up Skyline Drive today and saw so many service roads I'd love to explore...

I had a big street bike for a while, 2009 Kawasaki Concours, but every time I passed a dirt road I wanted to go explore it.
I sold that bike and now have only bikes that can handle the dirt and gravel.

I coach novice and intermediate on an sv650. Not a great bike pic, bit it's what I can find currently.

My go fast bike is an old 04 r6.

I have a tagged ktm 250 xcw-e for trail riding, but don't have any good pics on hand. Here's transporting it in my 7.3 van.

Thanks. The sideline photos were taken by Josh @ Apex Pro Photography. The follow was a still frame from my friend Haluk's GoPro cam.
Been with Team ProMotion since 2006. In recent years, an all women's dirt and track group called Ruts To Racelines was organized by my friend Marika. I'm honored to be one of her coaches. Around 2017, I started giving as much one on one instruction as I could to a 15 y/o talent coming from the dirt bike scene to track. 2 years later, he was racing the Light Weight Twins class in the Moto America series. This past year he raced a few races in the Super Sport 600 class and is about to break into the top 10. Pretty stoked I could be a part of his journey. If you see a Moto America race on tv, keep an eye out for Austin Miller.

This was us on the grid moments before the Twins class race started at Pitt Race in 2019. Proud of this kid

^ Very cool! And, yes, will definitely check out that series!

Saw you are in WVa and thought you might be at Summit Point sometime. That's where I've been going for my track days through Motorcycle Xcitement (although I've only done 3 so far) as it's only 15-20 minutes from my house...

Awesome! I know Roger. He paired up with TPM a few years ago at NCBike track days. He pretty much sticks to Summit these days. If you get the chance, ride with Evolve GT. You will learn much more and faster with them. They branched off from TPM and are on point. Anyways, welcome to the addiction Doc. Oh, and read Twist Of The Wrist 2 by Keith Code. Good stuff!

Few months back I picked up a 2016 Yamaha R3. It’s my first bike and I’m stoked to get into riding

Very nice! When I first started looking at getting into it, there a few R3's for sale and I was set to buy one right after my MSF course. Then, in a span of days, they all got snagged. I ended up with a Ninja 300 and it was good... just not as good as I "knew" an R3 would be!

Just remember to work on your low speed skills! It really shocked me when I started to see how that stuff translates to higher speeds as well. I know it is so easy to become enamored of that straight line speed, but learning to lean and brake well make riding so much safer and sublime. Nothing beats a twisty road that you've learned like the back of your hand or, even better, track days!

So far I’ve been learning to ride up in the hills. Gotten good at hill starts and twisty roads, but I definitely want to do the MSF course and nail the low-speed maneuvers as well

Good deal, man! Motojitsu has a great YT channel that will give you plenty to work on, along with the "why" behind them.

I've had more motorcycles I can count. Finally found the perfect bike for me, my 2014 BMW R1200 GS Adventure. It does everything I want it to and it's capable of more than I am by a long shot. This picture was at the end of a trip to section 3 of the MABDR last year.

I was just talking to my buddy about riding skyline this weekend. I haven't had the chance to get out there in a while.

Too cold for me (only in the high 30's, I think), otherwise I'd be glad to ride! I only go as low as 45 or so...
