How do you like those Rally Raid tanks? Whats your range like? Looking into adding more range to mine for the offroad/long distance trips I do in the summer.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
And keep your arms loose, light grip. Let the bike move, the design of the suspension makes it relatively self-correcting. Mud is less forgiving in that regard.

I really enjoyed them, and they can take a hit. Hard to gauge the miles, as I am a hard enduro rider and drive this like it was my 300xcw or 500.

Sold my 690 to a close buddy, and I am on to getting something else. Might try out the 890adv? It’s a different bike than the 690 and I think I wanna give it a shot. Who knows, might end up with another 690. I love my 1190, and I am 6’3 265, so I can throw it around :)

Good to hear. I myself am on the fence of weather I want to add weight via creature comforts for longer distancing riding on this bike or put the money aside and look into a bigger bike for longer rides and keep the KTM smaller and lighter for day or weekend trips. Been looking hard at the Africa Twin lately.

I am looking at the T7 if I can find one. Your right on the money talking about weight. I would only run them half full because of that reason. I mean for the money they want for those, I would out that into a purpose built bike.

FYI - my 690r I posted the pic of was built
Like that when I bought it for a steal of a deal. Otherwise I would have done a few mods, but left it stockish.

How long does it take to swap setups? Running same chain for both?

It takes me about 45 minutes or so to swap front and rear wheels and change the kickstand. I have different chains and sprockets for both setups.

 Yeah was curious since they all typically wear together and the dirt setup probably wears a ton faster. 45 minutes aint bad at all for all that work!

Here's mine after crashing at Limerock park Saturday, was so much fun until it wasn't. 20 laps into the day had my confidence aimed higher than my abilities, was my first at fault accident in about 13 years riding/35 track days.

Thanks- Nothing too bad, my right hand is severely swollen but can move everything fine
Actually, that is correct haha. Between turn 1 and 2 when I determined i was still going too fast to make it into 2. The speed at the end of the straight had me unsettled going into 1.

Plus the double apex makes you get worse and worse. You can’t correct the corner, you survive it until you get out of 2.

Yup, its a reduced radius turn. Newer tracks have more asphalt run off for error. Either way, 100% my fault, live and learn and was glad to come out with minimal damage and barely hurt.
