Its the real tight turns that get me. I slow to much in fear of not being able to turn and hitting a tree lol. I'm definitely improving from the first time I was out. I should be picking up a sled next week with a 159" track instead of the 144" I have now so that should help.

Jace, do you ever ride around Winter Park?

Great pictures! Looks like a great trip Judy

I had this happen to me the night before our trip 2 weeks ago

I had just picked up my sled from having it serviced about 50 minutes away and I just got off the highway. I'll tell you what, it sucks to find someone that is willing to tow a trailer. That happened about 3 - 4 miles from my house and it still cost $275. Thank God it happened so close.

    Holy $h!t Rob,
That is nuts I am sooooo glad you were not hurt or were going faster when that happened.
Granted that tow bill ....man cha ching, I have heard of this happening but never seen it.
Gosh you lived it. I am checking my axle!
I see now some trailer mfg are using galvanized axles?
It is such a freakin' costly activity. Hope you are able to put it back together.

Thanks. I was at the end of the highway just pulling away from the light and had my music on so I didn't hear anything but noticed that my truck was not accelerating or shifting so I turned down the radio and let of the gas and it obviously slowed right down. I looked in my mirror and saw the trailer down and figured the tire was blown (brand new tire) but it wasn't it was the axle. I pulled it like that for about 500 ft and killed my new tire too.
I got all the new parts already. They sell the axle at Tractor Supply and the new u-bolt kit came in yesterday (ordered a galvanized set from E-Trailer). I should have gotten the axle there to because it was cheaper but oh well. Just need to get the time to put it all together

Glad you got the parts together to fix it. We have a long way to go till next season :(. I worked this winter for a tour guide company up in Quebec handling admin & pictures and stuff. That is how I got to ride up there this year. We had no snow to speak of & I never even shoveled. Unreal

Just got dumped on in Winter Park the last few days. If anyone is close I'm looking for people to ride with during the week. My buddy sold his sled 2 weeks ago to rebuild the front end on his Ram... He thought winter was over.
