Post Tacoma Pizza Meet Wheeling trip? Any interest

So who all is going on this run? Scott, I saw you chime in with a "yes". OP, please update the first post. Count me in.

 

I'll update when I get home, I'm getting ready to take a hybrid boat on the lake for testing right now.

I really want to do this, but I dont know if I want to do the 2 hour drive each way to get to the Pizza meet. I might be in. It all depends on what time I wake up.

just noticed Tucson. the trails starts about an hour or so past phoenix, so thats something to keep in mind

 

Yea, I dont mind the drive from the Pizza shop to the trail. Its the 2 hours on either end of the trip. Granted I dont have to pay for gas since I am on company travel, but thats still 4 hours round trip.

Well, if a White supercharged DCSB TRD Sport with Washington plates shows up... Its me. I honestly wont know until the morning. I have to decide if I want to ride my motorcycle, go shooting, or go wheeling.

 

i might be up for this. my stock 4x4 isnt ready for any heavy wheeling yet, so i'd probably be in to take pictures and/or some video if i can hop in with someone

 

This is a road that has dirt on it, far from anything heavy.

 

x2. Cars can make this trail easily. It's just a fun run before it gets too damn hot out there.

 

Is that all this is... No 4x4 needed??? If thats all it is then I doubt I will show up. I am not looking for a rubicon type trail but I want something a bit more than an improved dirt road.

 

The trail is fun but I've seen cars and minivans down there (not recommended but when you see the people that take their beaters down there, you will understand)

I've been contemplating just making a run up behind Lake Pleasant on Cow Creek road and seeing if the one cove I like to drive across is dry. Some fun stuff back there but fairly easy, too. I need to scout out a new catfishing spot back there.

 

Theres an area back there ive wanted to check out for a while. North of Pleasant, east of Cow Creek. One of the drainages has some pretty cool loocking cliffs/rock outcrops and some old mining check dams. Ill have to find the sheet where I wrote down the coordinates.

 

Is it off of Castle Hot Springs road or another offshoot? I love exploring that whole area up there. Let me know if you find it.

Well guys, after a lot of consideration I decided not to make the trip. The prospect of driving that far to only drive on a slightly bumpy dirt road is not appealing to me. Sorry, maybe next time guys.

 

I'm always for more difficult trails just trying to accommodate everyone
