So, did you bridge the 4 channel F300 because the Premier sub is dual voice coil or something? Glad to hear it works well, I've got a MRP-M450 I'll be running on either an Excelon shallow mount 10" or one of the single voice coil Premier's in the Scosche Tacoma sub box. We'll see if JL Cleansweep I just got from a member meets my needs...

I've got the same head unit. It's very nice. Not planning on doing the sirius module myself, but it looks like you still need a sirius receiver.

Also, the gps is Tele Atlas, not a Garmin. Map updates are supposed to be available this summer.

I haven't totally finished the install yet. Still need to drill the plastic blank for the mic mount, and connect the parking break wire. I snaked the usb with the provided extension into the glovebox. It is accessible that way. I'm using a pen drive there atm for mp3 playback. The gps antenna is mounted inside the dash, behind the passenger side airbag. It's magnetic and attached to a pipe there with no difficulty. It works fine through the dash.

I'm planning on getting the hd radio module later, though mounting that might be a bit tricky. I would prefer to mount it behind the dash, but it may end up in the glove box.

I'm going to be replacing the carpet soon, and I'll be putting some sound dampening in at the same time. Speakers are stock for the moment, but those will be getting replaced when I disassemble the doors to do more sound dampening, and to reupholster the side panels.

After I installed it, I noticed the sound balance was a little off. The default equalizer is set to powerful. Played around with it a bit and got the best results so far with it set to vocal, and bass boost set to +1. I'm not going to spend a huge amount of time tweaking this until I've got the sound dampening completely done, and the new speakers installed. As one will alter the acoustics and the other will change the speaker characteristics.

I'm still debating an amp+sub, since I'm after audio clarity not so much volume or powerful bass.

The deck is pretty good if all of your music has been moved to digital format like mine has. I have no need for a CD player. Looking back though I probably would have gotten a different non-CD deck because the screen is pretty much useless if you are using an iPod touch like I am which is much easier to control the music you want to hear.

All of my music is digital, but I guess I'm just thinking about the what if situations where I might need/want a CD player. I just have a normal iPod so would you recommend it for that or is the screen that useless that you would not recommend it?

the interface of this deck makes it hard to sift through a large music collection, that's why I control it from my iPod touch, if you're going to be using the deck as your control I would definitely recommend going somewhere and playing with a display model of a different deck to make sure you can easily go through your library because this one is not made to do that and drive at the same time

WOW!!! Iv been wanting to put a double din unit in my truck for a long time but never thought it would fit properly with the dash. Did you have to trim any to fit it or did it fit with no problem?? Also I got a box for my SI BM MkIII today!!!!!!!!!! It hits crazy hard! Ill try and post some pics later on if I can find a camera.

This is full old school a/d/s system. The system consists of a Pioneer 4100 dvd player, a/d/s 346is 6.5 front door components, 346im 6.5 rear door speakers, a/d/s s10 sub in a Mr Marv box and amp rack, a/d/s ph15 amp bridged @ 110 to the frt speakers, pq20 80 watts per side to the rear speakers and the rear channels bridged @ 150 to the sub. Stripped the interior and sound deadened the floor, roof, rear wall and all the doors, also added ensolite foam(huge gains). Granted this is my first system since 1993. I forgot how much I missed good clean jams! I added a picture of the truck, since I havent posted the build yet.

Fitting was not a problem. Just take the plastic tray under the stereo out when you pull the old stereo. No cutting needed. That tray is really just a plug for a second din mounting slot. I know it looks smaller then a full din slot, but it isn't. I was even able to use the bracket for the new stereo. The stereo had been replaced once, but I think the bracket was stock. All you would really need would be the wiring harness. :)
