does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
You guys got me motivated to try and build some sets from the past with my son. I was probably 10 or so when I built it as a kid, the instructions say 1981, I imagine I built it around 1983. My son is 7, so I figured let's try it out, see if we have all the pieces.
    IMG_1430.jpg
    IMG_1431.jpg
We followed the directions pretty closely, a couple pieces I didn't have the right color, but it still looked good. We changed the wheels and tires, added some wheel spacers, and then found some crazy black hood and fenders from who knows what. Also all the gear lock(don't know what they are really called, that's just the name I gave them when organizing all my old legos) pieces that are at the corner of the roll bars were all cracked where the axle inserts, so it was super weak and wanted to fall apart with the littlest touch, so we switched it up a little bit.

He played with it for a good hour last night! This thread definitely motivated me to build something! Thanks!

Missing one of the printed foot pieces and a couple of reverse slopes, but I filled in with what I had and made it work. Good nostalgia going on with this one

^^^ Those are awesome. I didn't have much space Lego growing up. I did have a few castle sets. I loves checking these out.
